THE DEEP END OF THE KIDDIE POOL

GO AHEAD AND DIVE INTO SOME STUFF I WROTE

THE FINAL DRAFT IS A MYTH.

I know this to be true, since a 1 page assignment from my freshman year has somehow grown to be a 10 page manifesto. I will even go as far as saying that anybody who says that they can finish a piece, put the final draft in a drawer and walk away is a bold face liar.

The words nag at you to try again, to care for them just one more time. The world around you drops subtle hints that there is more to be said. There are clarifications to be made, and there are errors in need of remedy.

Read it aloud, and you'll see what I mean. It just doesn't sound like you took care to string the words together in the right way.

This is a blog about coming to terms with the fact that you will never be done; no matter how hard you try, the words aren't right. It is a blog about words, and one college students attempts to do them justice.

“Many people need desperately to receive this message: 'I feel and think much as you do, care about many of the things you care about, although most people do not care about them. You are not alone.”

--Kurt Vonnegut
